Sweet-waving kidnapper lures five-year-old boy in Bauchi and then k!lls the victim after he recognised him The police in Bauchi state have arrested a 25-year-old man identified as Anas Auwal, for allegedly killing a five-year-old child he killed after allegedly kidnapping him by luring him with a sweet. In a statement released, the spokesperson of the state police command, Ahmed Wakil, said the suspect lured the minor with sweets and took him to his room. He later contacted the boy’s father and demanded N5m ransom, which the latter could not raise. Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a medical doctor, Rev. Dr. Nuhu Bakwa and his friend in Mangu Local Government Areas of Plateau State.    The incident happened at about 8:00 p.m on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, when Dr. Bakwa, who is also a pastor, and the friend were in transit from Mangu to Jos.  According to the Nigerian Tribune, Dr Bakwa and his family, who reside in Abuja, were in Farin-Kassa in Mangu over the death of his father, who passed away last week.   A source close to the family disclosed that Dr. Bakwa and his family, along with a pastor friend, were traveling back to Abuja when the gunmen ambushed them at Bisichi in Jos South local government.   The gunmen forced the medical doctor and his friend out of the car they were traveling in and whisked them away.   The source said that the gunmen left the doctor’s wife along with two other children in the car.   He added that the wife, who was in a state of confusion, later alerted the relatives of h

Man arrested for abd¥cting four teenage boys recently declared missing in Lagos  Police operatives in Lagos State have arrested a 51-year-old man, Austin Kanu, for allegedly abd¥cting four teenage boys in Surulere area of the state.    The victims, ages between 16 to 18, were on October 29, 2022 at about 2010hrs discovered in an isolated place within the National Stadium, Surulere by the Chief Security Officer of the stadium who was on routine patrol and then alerted the police. The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement on Tuesday, November 1, disclosed that: “Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect lured the victims from Ogba and Agege to Surulere.  Their parents when contacted, confirmed that the boys had been missing since the early hours of October 29, 2022.”

Man sentenced to de@th by h@nging for k#lling his bestie for money ritu@l in Bauchi  A High Court sitting in Bauchi State has sentenced a 23-year-old man, Musa Hamza, to de@th by h@nging for k#lling his friend for money ritu@l. The convict, who was arrested on December 21, 2020 was found guilty of k#lling the deceased, a 17-year-old boy named Adamu Ibrahim, in Alkaleri LGA of the state.  After k#lling the deceased, he c#t his neck, pl#ck out his two eyes and p#t them in a bottle. He also b#ried his head and body at different locations. The suspect initially denied the accusation against him before the court at the beginning of the trial, but later admitted it. He confessed that he was asked by a ritu@list to bring the eyes for money ritu@l.    The court presided over by Justice Faruq Umar Sarki sentenced him to de@th by h@nging having been found guilty of the offence he was charged for.
